The Department of Information, Risk, and Operations Management (IROM) consists of three academic disciplines: Information Management, Operations Management and Risk Analysis and Decision Making.
The IROM Department has several outstanding and nationally ranked programs including the Undergraduate Management Information Systems program (#5 by U.S. News and World Report), the MBA Information Systems program (#3 by U.S. News and #1 by College Choice), the Undergraduate Product/Operations Management program (#11 by U.S. News), the Supply Chain Management Center (#9 by U.S. News), the MBA Productions/Operations Management program (#16 by U.S. News), and the MS Business Analytics program (#3 by Master's in Data Science). Sirkka Jarvenpaa Receives Runner Up Award for Best Paper in 2016 Volume of AMD
Sirkka Jarvenpaa, along with Liisa Valikangas, was named runner-up for the 2016 Academy of Management Discovery Best Paper Competition for the paper "From Governance Void to Interactive Governing Behaviors in New Research Networks." Joshua Rock Named to the BBA Faculty Honor Roll for Fall 2016
We are pleased to announce that Joshua Rock has been named to the Fall 2016 BBA Faculty Honor Roll.
The BBA Honor Roll is an initiative of the Undergraduate Business Council (UBC, the student leadership group) to acknowledge those who perform exceptionally well in the classroom in BBA classes, thus enriching the student experience and setting a standard that we all can aspire to. Huseyin Tanriverdi Receives Best Theory Paper Award at ICIS 2016
Huseyin Tanriverdi, along with Ramesh Rao of the Finance Department, received the Best Theory Paper Award at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2016. Their paper is titled, "Shareholder Wealth Implications of Information Technology Outsourcing." Read more about ICIS here
Douglas Morrice Wins INFORMS Simulation Society Distinguished Service Award, 2016
